Louise Heim

Louise Heim Louise Heim is a registered patent agent with 30 years of experience in patent prosecution. She began her career as a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and from there, moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she partnered with local practitioners to prepare and file patent applications for a diverse array of clients, including large companies such as 3M and Honeywell, as well as small businesses and individual inventors. After relocating to Southern California in 1992, she continued as a sole practitioner and later joined the firm of Stout, Uxa, Buyan, and Mullins. She has also been employed as an information analyst for Allergan, and patent analyst for Global Patent Solutions.

Ms. Heim is proficient in a wide variety of technologies including medical devices, sporting goods, firefighting equipment, gas turbine engines, and control valves. She has been involved in all phases of prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, including patent searching, patentability opinions, and preparation of patent applications, amendments, and appeal briefs.
